Week 5

Joy is deeply rooted in our experience of grace, in knowing our “unmerited specialness” to God and the assurance of His empowering presence to become who He uniquely created us to be. It’s the joy of Immanuel: God with us… always.

Romans 8:31-39 The power that nothing can separate us from the love of God and the enemy’s focus on trying to make us think something can because he knows that when we believe that, we become separated from the joy of the Lord - our life fuel and strength.

Two keys to remaining aware of our relational connection to God no matter what is occurring:

  1. Thanksgiving - building a reservoir of joy

  2. Immanuel Process to metabolize pain - interaction with God, journaling and sharing the process that restores our brains, our minds and our hearts to remember most who God was to us, for us and with us in times of pain.

    “I see you…”

“I hear you and know you…”

“I know this is hard for you…”

“I am glad to be with you…”

“I can do something about this…”

AFTER Your Live Session:

In our original live session, Allison asked team member Meg to provide some excellent insights that future teams may benefit from - so a recording was made with permission of the participants. Please listen only after your actual live session.
