This has been a month where β€œjoy” didn’t look boisterous or loud. It quietly partnered with us as I listened to the journeys of the women in personal coaching sessions. Joy strengthened us all as we shared beautiful β€œah-ha” moments. You can read about a few of those further down.

There’s a few opportunities for personal coaching again in September, with more coming in October, so check that out.

In September, we’ll be starting another Book Club, this time with my book Joyful Intentionality. I love this book and now, I have a few more discoveries we’ll weave into how we explore it together. It’s open to anyone!

We have a new addition to our website: YOUR stories! And your gifts have published a new book especially for those in jails and recovery.

Joyful Intentionality
(and it’s our next Book Club too!)


Joy is deeply rooted in our experience of grace - knowing, by experience, our β€œunmerited specialness” to God and the assurance of His empowering presence to become who He uniquely created us to be.

Joy is meant to be our fuel for living from the heart Jesus gave us, for living wholeheartedly. The source of that joy is relational, not circumstantial. It’s in our real world experiences of God, of walking with Him, talking with Him - of His kindness, His goodness. That’s where His peace and joy become more real! The scriptures and truths that we know about joy become stories we can remember and an encouragement we can share that people will believe because they can see in our eyes that we’ve lived it.

The reason we’re looking at Joy after talking about Grace Spaces and Identity is that every process of maturity and transformation it needs to be filled with joy.

The Holy Spirit never intended for us to navigate our lives apart from joy.

When we become disconnected from joy, that’s when life becomes a heavy yoke instead of a relational experience with God where everything can be redeemed.

I wrote Joyful Intentionality over 8 years ago and the power of joy has become more important over time. In our Book Club, we’ll not only explore what’s in the book, but I’ll share with you new relational insights and practices that I’ve discovered. We’ll have rich conversations because what you and Jesus are seeing is always SO amazing!

We hope you’ll join us for 5 weeks of laughter, wisdom and JOY as we exchange trying-harder-to-do-better-for-God for walking hand in hand with Him into our next adventure in Jesus.

Originally published in 1999, Vessels of Honor has a concise testimony of Earlene Leming’s miraculous healing and one beautiful story of the first young woman to β€œgraduate” from prison to eventually becoming the president of the prison ministry.

We wanted to streamline the original book, which ministered to thousands in prison but was now out of print. It’s short and easy to read for someone with a hurting heart that needs to meet Jesus or be assured of His love and care when they find themselves incarcerated or in recovery.

Thanks to you, almost 500 copies have already been given to those it was written for and we will soon be printing more for anyone who wants to share them specifically in the places described above. The Higher Call (which also contains Earlene’s healing testimony and more extensive teaching and testimonies) is available free of charge to anyone on our website. Vessels of Honor will be our gift to healing ministries.
